    Howdy Folks,
    I hope I've found the right group.

    Here's the deal ...

    The playgrounds and projects that once brought me immense joy, now irritate me to frustration.
    Chronic pain and discomfort now prevent me from physical and co-ordinated endevours.
    This could be fortunate for others, however...

    As much as I'd enjoy discussing and dickering with fellow audio techs, my condition limits my interaction time.
    So, as comprehensively as possible, I've researched and listed all my Altec goodies.
    As it has become necessary for me to find other homes for these treasures, I'm seeking the best means of showcasing my gear. Has eBay has become the matter-of-facto standard, or are there better options?

    I appreciate your information and interest.

    ---------------------------------------------
    VINTAGE PRO AUDIO - Altec Lansing
    ---------------------------------------------

    1 - Altec 2200 Integrated Power Amplifier - ALL modules. Cleaned, but untested. It is a beaut!

    A busted power switch is the only known flaw.
    =============================================
    2 - Altec A7 "Voice of the Theatre" 828 Cabinets
    w/ 15", 416-8C LF Speakers & N501-8B Crossover
    (basically I have an A5X and an A7-500)
    1 - 288-B HF Driver with 30162 Throat and 805B Horn
    1 - 902-8T HF Driver with 511B Horn

    Mis-matched horns keep these from being a legitimate "pair", although cabinets, woofers,
    and crossovers are identical.
    ============================================
    2 - Altec 604-8/16 GLW - 15", Co-axial, 2-way Loudspeakers
    (NO cabs, Unused, in the box, with envelope)

    I always saved these as part of a nice retirement project ... yeah, well.
    These are STILL in the original boxes, with papers. I'm anxious to inspect them (they've been in storage for some time), as they were custom. I recall they had mixed impedances, and Ferro-fluid modifications. This pair is from a special order lot, most of which were employed in a series of stage monitors, used in reputable Jazz Festivals and Broadway/touring stage shows.
    =============================================

    Again, I appreciate all help.

    You did unless you came here to croak. Croakers are generally punished severely. forums

    Unless you can turn them up so we can hear them, how 'bout some pictures? Just post the images to your own host, and use the image or link buttons here.
